For Immediate Release
In an assault and battery case filed last year, our firm recently obtained a judgment in the amount of $97,919.00 against a Dallas Pro Cuts franchise. A press release detailing the case can be found here. The lawsuit was filed in the Dallas County Court at Law No. 2. The judgment included damages for pain and suffering (both past and future), medical bills (both past and furure), mental anguish, and lost wages (both past and future). The judgment also included interest.
The Defendant has since filed a post-judgment motion for new trial. After a two hour evidentiary hearing, the Court overruled the motion for new trial and affirmed the judgment. The judgment is currently on appeal and thus has not been collected as of yet.
